Default Yamaha 250 SHO prop

Any of you guys have any experience with this motor/prop combo? I have the turbo 24p 3 blade on it and if I try to jump on step real quick it will lose it's bite and cavitate. Also between 5100 and 5700rpms I get no change in top end speed. Any suggestions?

what are you running it on? I have several different ones I've been through. 22p turbo FXP 3 blade, 23p Yamaha pro series and a 21p power tech 4 blade. pro series has the best cruising speed numbers but the power tech runs better overall

Have it on a blazer bay 675. I've played around with the jack plate and trim tabs and it jumps out of the water when you hit it just right otherwise it'll cavitate. Maybe I need a little more time on it. Just curious what other guys were running on this motor
