Erik Burns and his sons joined me today. The morning started out a lil windy with choppy seas and a ripping current. We got set up and started chipping away at the trout. Double rigged avocado and green hornet Matrix Shad worked their magic as they do everyday in Dularge. With the current so strong we used 3/8 ounce jig heads to get the baits down to the fish. Letting the baits drift with a twitch worked best to produce strikes. With 20 fish iced down in the K2 it was time to move. Our next location found the winds and seas calming down and shrimp jumping. We got on a good run catching fish just about everycast. The boys loved it and kept saying how they had never caught so many fish ever before. Thanks guys for a great day. Big thanks to Capt A Julien for running the second boat and putting his crew on reds, puppy drum and flounder. O Capt. Marty LaCoste 985-856-4477 www.absolutefishingcharters.com |
