Default Trout Explosion

Thankfully we finally have some stable weather and obviously the speckled trout have been waiting for us. They probably haven't seen or heard a boat in over a week so the ambush was as easy as it gets this morning. I was running today along with 3 other boats for a big group of guys staying at The Reel Inn. It took awhile to drag them out of bed but we hit the coast at the crack of dawn. At our first stop offshore, shrimp were exploding out of the water with trout in hot pursuit. Game on. The trout attacked our double rigs ferociously and after boating 20 fish, it was over. Since there was lots of territory to cover and hardly any competition, we decided to stick and move. Every spot we fished was holding fish and after 5 stops, we had 80 fat trout cooling in the K2. Incredible fishing today and hopefully this will continue!!! Between all 4 boats we totaled 360 trout. Big thanks to Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip!
