Other than the usual required things (pdf, fire extinguisher, etc) what else do u carry on your boat? spare motor parts? Tools? I'm just looking for ideas to make sure I have everything I need on the water. Thanks

Always carry plenty of rope. You never know when you may need a tow.

I carry a 2 piece push pole under the rear deck... Will do you no good in a lake but I only fish marsh so if gas and electric goes it will work better than a paddle...Always have a 2 liter bottle of water and can of dried nuts and vi annies last a long time in the dry box...Tried stowing away a lil old crow for a survival situation but it didn't survive the first outing....Guess if time ever comes it'll be the vi annies to save the day...

Spare propeller. It does not have to be a high performance prop, it just needs to get you home. If you spin a hub, you will idle in. If you're in Big Lake, you will not idle against the wind with a spun hub. It's hours across Big Lake at an idle.
