![]() Me and my roommate rent a house with waterfront access to the english bayou so we are going to build a blind for this season, but we don't want to step on anybody's toes. Any reports, advice, or experiences? |

Yea I saw all the blinds on the bayou, but in a lot of public places people get really pissed off if you take the blind that they built. Is it like that out there or does everyone understand that you don't have the rights to a blind on public land just because you built it? I want to try and avoid confrontation if I can.

I was at the landing one morning and a man came up to me and started small talk. After a few minutes he ask if I was or new an guy named (don't remember). Apparently this fella he was talking about shot up and spray painted his name in the blinds he and a friend had built in watermelon bay. I told him I didn't know who he was talking about. I was hunting out of my boat. After a lil while longer he said that if I wanted I could hunt out of his blinds. All he asked is that I call him( number was in the blinds on a yellow board I think) the day before incase he or his buddy was planning to hunt out of one of them. Nice guy. Don't recall his name.

If it is on public land, hunt it! A lot of the people that build blinds think that they own them... however, early bird gets the worm out there!
