not in a 20 foot boat, which I run and how do you keep two hands on the steering wheel and work the trottle. I guess you've never had a steering pump go out or line bust on steering. Not nice.

Just telling you why its a rule..... I dont make them...just follow....in the eyes of insurance and WL&F ... a boat with steering wheel is safer than with out....

Good thing the insurance doesn't read like a carnival ride or you wouldn't be going either!

I wear an inflateable and kill switch when fishing alone.
I have read way too many accident and death reports in the news in the past few years about folks who die due to simple accidents on the water. Especially when fishing alone.

I don't see the issue with tiller motors. I ran them for 30 years and never had a serious accident. Go-Devil is a different story.

You can be safe in a tiller handle. I dont see what that would have to do with a fishin tournament.

It'sa big shot syndrome.
They don't want anyone in a $3,000 boat to beat out someone in a $39,000 boat.

Bottom line is you must have a steering wheel to compete... all money tournaments are like this.... No one cares how safe you have been over the years... All Tournaments require the same......No tiler handle boats......

And you have to have a live well to keep fish alive.... If fish are dead you lose a 1lb

Come on Salties and sign up, so far we have:
1. W & Triple J
2. Comeaux & Hatten
3. Evis aka Elvis
4. Capt B
5. Medium Heavy
6. Boatman

This should be fun, and the entry fee isn't too bad!
