Default first truck

Y'all got any pics of your first pickup truck? Here are a couple of mine....a 1978 Ford F-150 4x4. It's also my fav truck. I sold it in 2002 with 27,000 actual miles.

Salty - do you realize what a truck is worth like that these days? Only 27K miles? Holy crap.......it would be worth more today than off the showroom floor!

I got a pretty good price for it but, yeah, I know what "your" sayin'. If I'm not mistaken, I paid like $8800 for it new. I spent at least that on it afterwards. These pics were taken around 1980.

A 78 model truck was your first vehicle? What, you didn't start driving until you were in your 30's?! Hahahahaha!

Didn't have cameras back then. Hell, I think I'm older then Corey's dad.

BTW, it was nice meeting him yesterday. Hard to believe he was that sick just a few weeks back.

My first was an 83 S10. Kept it for a long time. Wound up with a 383 stroker in it when all was said and done.

Only owned two cars. One was a Caddi STS with Northstar motor and ported heads and re-machined cams and a blown 96 mustang. Both really fun to drive and equally expensive...in court costs! Lol

I had two cars prior to the truck....a 1963 Ford Falcon and a '71 Darge Charger. The Falcon had a 144 cu. in. slant 6 and the Charger had a 440 Magnum. I had to drive the Darge in reverse for awhile just to get used to it. I finally saved up enough money to buy my dream truck.

My first truck was an isuzu as well, 86 model I think and silver with mud tires, it had 150,000 miles on it when my dad gave it to me. It was hard for me to get on the intersate as the truck would top out at 65 mph. I got the truck and a job at a pizza place washing dishes on the same day. To this day I still hate washing dishes.

Good times.

Now, that Charger with the 440 is instant exemption from all guys should have to own a truck rules! Did it have the 6 pack carbs? That thing would be worth way more than the Ford if so!

Mine was an Isuzu too, 88 or 89, given to me by my dad. Had 205,000 miles on it when i got it. I think i got it to about 225,000 before i saved enough for a new truck and then gave it back to him and was sold for about $500. Had to take it over the 210 bridge every week for work, i was at about 35mph at the top.
