Default Need new reel recommendations!

I want to buy another rod and reel. I currently have a shimano curado 200G7 with a 7.1:1 gear ratio on a 7' shimano salt water Terez with medium power and fast action. Any suggestions? I do not want to go cheap and I'm sick of watching other cast twice as far as me with lite bait! Please let me know your thoughts!!

That combo should sling pretty well. I bought a curado 200 HG last week and was throwing a spook jr as far as I wanted with a 6'7 medium light rod. Also have a 13 fishing concept A that will do the same. Just have to figure out how to get your brakes and cast control balanced out right so you don't backlash big like your head.

Go with the Chronarch. They out cast any other reel I've used. Just leave one break out. If you wanna cast far get a 7' 6" rod. I like Falcons either the coastal or the hd. Duckett makes a good 7' 6 rod too

If you want to cast lighter baits further look for a reel with less line capacity than a curado 200. A 50 or 100 size shimano cast lighter weights better than the 200 size shimanos because the spool does not hold as much line and is lighter and easier to start up.
