Sabine River

Anyone been fishing the river lately. Gonna run that way Sunday morning to do alittle scouting around Sabine island for the second split. Prolly gonna run south of nibletts bluff.

I was catching good fish south before the front came through. I havent been out since. The fish where in the bayous and holding off the bank in about 5 ft of water. I had a 5 fish string that would have went around 8.5 lbs. They were eating a shallow running crankbait. I caught a few on a spinner and a DOA shrimp but they hit the cranbait better.
