Default Beautiful Calcasieu River

Went to the dock this morning and seen how clear the water was and all I could think about was Crappie after that. Got off at 6pm and dad said my shiners from last Thursday were still alive so I went to soak em!! One hole for just over an hour. Had a garfish keep messin my hole up. When they come around Crappie get lock jaw but he come up looking at my cork and I took the butt of my other rod and smacked it right on the head. It made all kind of racket taking off but after five minutes or so bite was back on! Had 4-5 in box and caught another 8-9 before running out of shiners. Nice Crappie this time so they are about to be thick in the brush piles as long as river stays clear we should smoke em again real soon. Still too hot right now I was soaked from head to toe. Love the Crappie bite though! Good luck all
