Default Orange Seal BOCA Bearings Review After 1 Season

I was very satisfied with the bearings when i first got them, but half way through the year the performance diminished. Took the bearings out for a cleaning and installed them back and good again for a few trips. Well tonight I decided to start getting ready to start fishing again and began cleaning the curados. Went ahead and pulled off the orange seals and was a little surprised.. Long story short, going back with stainless bearings...

If you run them with seals off it will solve your issue. You will just have to oil them a little more often.

The seals on the orange seals trap salty water in and cause the bearing to corrode. The abec5 with the stainless seals are ok to run with seals on.
