We built the Vudu to catch Trout. Never said it would hold up on huge reds. We've had 9lb reds on but with line drag and had no problem. Not a redfish lure. We have lots of baits and great hooks for reds. We have had many reports of people catching 50 plus trout on one Vudu.

Don't get me wrong I like the bait I have caught well over 50 on a single bait...your going to have someone say something about them no bait is 100% perfect

I have only had one hook bend and that was because I was trying to muscle the red to the boat. Never had one break.

Not bashing just seeing how common of a issue it was. Thought it was kinda odd for a hook to break, it was a fairly new bait been on maybe 3 trips.

I caught a few nice Reds on them, no breaks, but some bends.
Mostly trying to get it out of the Red's mouff.
I have had very few broken hooks, but lots of bent hooks on many different kinds of lures.
Especially topwater lures.

Just got my first batch in - threw it in my swimming pool under a cork.

No bites in ~3hrs - :-)

Seriously, the Vudu slow falls AND THEN - at the bottom of the fall STAYS horizontal! - just like a hovering shrimp.

Sweet bait, will hit Grand Isle in a couple of weeks.

In the late Fall this past year, we saw Shrimp just sitting on top, right next to the boat.
I guess they were trying to stick to the side of the boat to camoflauge themselves.

I've fished the natural and the tiger. Like them both. The pink, the pearl/chartreuse and the gold are also good.
