Know of and have heard of sever allergic reaction to new kill. Having said that, the one I know of tested + 1.5 yrs later but 6 mos later was neg.

Han, I don't think it's possible not to have larva if they are +.

Normal tx protocol for injections is 1 shot w 2 wks rest followed w 2nd shot 30 days after 1st shot. 3rd shot 24hrs after 2nd followed by 2 wks rest. I'm a control freak so I keep dogs in clinic during rest period. My experience is my idea of rest and an owners are 2 different things.

My dog is on trefexius and doing well. With saying that I was told that the heart worm pill inside of it is heart guard. He also stays inside every night and when someone is home during the day. I have a alarm set on my phone to make sure he gets it every month on the same day and as close as possible to the same time. If I remember correct, I don't think pro heart has any resistance to ticks but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I did research on it.

I have pulled more ticks off of me in the last ten yrs than any dog. Fleas are our problem down here with all the damn coyotes and coons.

Trifexis is milbemycin plus comfortis. Milbemycin is same active ingredient as interceptor. Comfortis is by far the best flea product available at this time. Some new products coming but we'll have to wait and see on those

And don't be a day late between the last pills coverage and the purchase of a new pack. There was a two day discrepancy and I had to pay for treatment.
