Default Ruger SR22 review

Left the XDs 45 at home this week and instead have been carrying the wifes Ruger. This little gun is growing on me!! It is sized perfectly. Doesnt feel like a toy at all. Holds 10+1 and is still super light for everyday carry. Ive got Stinger hollow points in it and am VERY impressed! Ive heard the 22 naysayers arguments before, but after seeing what this thing does to a watermelon, I am a believer in having a 22 as a carry weapon. The sights could be tighter, but thqts a cheap fix. It does NOT cycle ammo under 1000fps, but 22 rounds are so cheap(even the highend stuff) it doesnt matter.

All in all, I really like it. Its no XD(but what out there is?) But it certainly is a really well thought out machine ........

I've read before that a .22 is one of the most deadly rounds in a vitals shot. Supposedly, it enters and bounces around off of bones rather than passing straight through...just something I read a few years back. I don't care to stand in front of any of them to try it out!

I think its the tumbling and fragmentation of the round that makes it so deadly

A little bigger, but holds 30 .22 mag. My neighbor just got his in and loves it.

My 7yr old loves his P22 and so do I, very fun and reliable gun. Easily managed by the young'un, teaching him to rack it and pump the target already. I'll have to post a vid next time we go shoot. Traded a set of tires that were in my attic when I bought my house for that little gun!
