Default 1-12-11 Rice Field Hunt

Paul Myers, his future son in law and one of my guys at the firm all made a hunt today at a rice field near Iowa. It was fairly slow by their standards but we ended with 10 geese (we had 2 more we never found) and 9 ducks (+1 one we lost). It was a very fun hunt with a great group of guys.

fyi there were a couple of more birds that did not make the picture for those of you that are counting.

That looks like a quality hunt, good job pulling those snows......Marinate the goose breast in Italian dressing slice um down the middle, fill em with Jalapenos and cream cheese and then wrap them with bacon! Cook on high heat (450 degrees) for about 15 minutes. Heart stopping awesome!

You hunting North are South of Iowa? My farm is North of Iowa about 10 miles and hunting has been hit and miss.

Late yesterday afternoon I was taking my son to lil dribblers practice in Fenton. On the way I saw 5 large groups of big ducks flyin south. Hope this is a change for the rest of the season.
