Default my boat

I don't think my boat is big enough to fight the ship channel with the south winds blowing at 10 to 20 mph.I could trailer to west cove canal. So my question is ,is it deep enough to run anywhere?(ALWELD pro160)
ps. Is that an island in the middle of west cove?Do I fish there?

you can fish there there are also several cuts along south bank you can fish north bank is also good. there is a reef in the center between island and boat launch, east bank is good also. there is a pipeline to fish. oyster bayou is there also. lots of places to fish just find clean water and throw......the water is deep enough to run except for a reef on low tide....unsure where but RAY could tell you where it is
