I fly in helicopters regularly. I know at a certian altitude your ears will pop. I'd ask a doctor what you could do for the kids to help with this. There may be lots of crying going on. Not that painful but could make them cry. Just guessing , I've never flown with my kids. I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express though.

Bring Gum for the 2 yr old to chew or something that will keep his jaw moving while chewing and time the baby's feeding to take off or let baby suck on nu-nu during ascent....Will decrease the chance of ears popping...Its what we did and it worked...Plenty of activities for the 2 yr old and try to keep the little one asleep...Wear that booger out before the flight...

I don't know what the rules are on an commercial flight, but I'd bring a ipod, or some kind of video game for the 2yr old. Maybe a portable DVD player.

I think as far as electronics go, its just the transmitter portion that is the problem.

Bring the 2 year old an eletronic device that plays movies with battery fully charged and headphones. There will probably be on flight movies on a flight that long but not sure if they will be age appropriate.

You won't be allowed benadryl on plane. We went to Scotland with my kids but had a prescription very similar to benadryl that they allow. When we got there they were well rested. However I was not but hey do what you have to do.

Well our plane leaves at 8 and they normally get up around 7. Their nap time should be around the second flight though so maybe then i can slip them some benadryl...

Skittles instead of gum for the 2 y.o. It worked for my 2 1/2 y.o. son this summer flying to Montana. Benadryl helped too and it coincided w/ his nap luckily there and back. While he was awake he travelled really well surprisingly. Good luck and have fun.
