Default Lew's

How many of us are old enough to remember when a Lew's speed stick and a Lew Childre mag spool BB- 1 MB was the top of the line rod n reel???
2 ball bearings and mag control reel and pistol grip rod w/ fuji guides.
Just picked one up at pawn shop in vf / nm condition for $20.
Great nostalgia piece.

Still use 2 BB-1s on 7ft popin' cork rods. Cast 1/4oz baits well and the lightness doesn't wear you out by the end of the day. Great product.

We had a bucket full of them rods and even a couple that were red white and blue for the 1976 celebration. Damn, I'm old.

I remember them. If you didn't have a speed stick, you weren't a serious fisherman. Rod and reels have come a looooong way since then.
