In the marsh, your gun takes in alot of debris/marsh grass/etc. That's how I know when mine is due for a cleaning. You can open it up and see all the trash in it.

I've got a Browing BPS that is 10 years old and is the camo synthetic. I haven't had any issues with it. I have used it at as a push pole, thrown it on the ground, & it was a boat paddle on "1" occassion and I haven't had any issues with it (knock on wood)...

I wouldn't buy another shotgun that wasn't synthetic unless I was gonna strictly be target shooting or not hunting ducks/geese in the marsh.

I think it is likely the shells you are using.
With that said, I have shot literally thousands of rounds out of a Urika gold sporting model, in the rain, heat, cold, night, day ............all kinds of conditions and there are some shells it just does not like.
I see the same in ALL the models on the sporting clays range.

I hunt with and older WOOD stock 686 Onyx, same thing thousands of rounds, used as a paddle, push pole, anchor, nutra deterant ...........and I hunt in Venice, on public land with no motorized boats, so the thing is not treated like a china doll.

and there are shells out there that will not fit the gun in certain conditions.
They swell, some when wet, some seemingly when cold, some when hot........

While the gun will shoot them when I force them in, the extractor will not spit them when I crack the gun open.

That is a fine weapon made by literally the oldest company in the history of companies, You can bet it has more to do with loads than weapon.

Not saying the "B" guns have not made bad ones...........but 99.99999% of them are just fine.

I had problems with remington shells in the past swelling and the extractor wouldnt pull them out the chamber. I got to be pretty quick with that buck tool to pull em out. Ended up swithching to a benelli, solved that problem quick and in a hurry. Did try some federal shells later in the jamming gun, and never had a problem with it after

My SBE was new in 1991 and had the same problem. There are two reasons in my mind they will jam out of the box; bad shells or debri and tight tolerances. I was shooting Drylocks in a single shot $1,000 gun until I started looking at the shells at home. I stood each shell in a new box next to one another on my bar, all 25. My gun was jamming because no two shells were the same length or seated in the brass straight.
Now I jam some but it is because my follower spring in the butt is worn out and doesn't push the shell fast enough sometimes. The guns today are all good, it just depends on what you are looking to pay.

I had that spring replaced and the gun hasn't missed a beat.

Couldn't stand it. Bought one yesterday. Fired a few rounds and I like it. I'll let ya'll know in 15 years if it performs as well as my Benelli has.

depends on if you get 3 or 3.5 inch chamber and with or without kickoff. 14-16

it is very light and well balanced with little recoil. My 5 year old daughter shot it with a 1 oz dove load turned around smiling and said she wanted to try the big shells. LMAO.
