Default Historic aerial photos?

Anyone know a good site to find some old aerial photos? Wanting to see the changes in VBay over time Preferably from the late 1800s. Thanks in advance

What a great find!!! Thanks for the link! Although I'm sorta an ol' timer on VB, the really old ones, mostly dead now, spoke of the long reef starting at the point and running all through to Dry Reef. All said the reef would expose at real low tides. Had many oyster reefs in the Bay at the time. These guys would run just to the inside Bay reefs, anchor on them, wade with long cane poles, live shrimp, then sink the boat w/ specks and reds. Notice that the Pass looks almost the same today.

Wow. Looking back at the historical maps It's amazing how much land loss there has been around the point up to mud point.

Ok I'll take the bait.

Might be a little hard to find "areial photos" from the late 1800s. But if ya find one I'll give ya a ice chest full of sheep head and all the gaf tops you can eat.

Find a satellite photo from same time I'll buy ya a new skiff.

I can't resist pointing out the humor in a request for aerial photos from before the invention of airplanes.

Yeah, if you find any aerials pre-1940s, i'd love to get my hands on those. Because as far as i can tell, they dont exist.

Good luck with late 1800s, though. Must have had one hell of a ladder to take any pictures back then.

Eric Britt with Grafx Plus in Sunset can print this in any size you want. Prices reasonable.

You are right, the first aerial photo was taken by hot air balloon in 1858...they even used kites and pigeons too

I eat here once a week so I have a good chance at winning the STAR and getting a new boat. Had breakfast there this morning and saw a 7 lb trout swimming in the ditch
