Default End of June report / Open Boat Saturday

[SIZE=3]It was nice to have a little tuna blood in the boat Monday! We had James Stegall and his crew out for a day of offshore fishing! The first two stops were made at places that held tuna a few days before but the water color was not the same! With no luck we pushed east to find a good color change and grass line starting to form! We did not find any fish on the grass but did find threadfin and this was a big boost of confidence! After about 20 baits were in the livewell we made our way south! We had baits in the water maybe 5 mins before we had a double! Landed one, lost the other! This went on til the dirty water pushed through and shut us down! Made a stop to catch a limit of red snapper and headed for the barn!

We also fished Wednesday with Adam Lee and his crew! We set out to catch big snapper and cobia and this we did! It took a lot longer than I had hoped to catch our limit of big red snapper but we did get them! After that we moved on to load the box with some awesome mangove snapper! We also found 2 cobia, a scamp and one nice gag to be released! Also released was several big amberjack!

The Freeman 33 is open Saturday to fish if you are looking to get out there! The blue water fishing is still not 100% but it is looking a lot better out there! dolphin, tuna, marlin and wahoo are all now within reach! Anyway, we would love to have you aboard the Looney Tuna Saturday if you feel the urge! This is my only open Saturday til September, I would love to fish but if not the day off will be ok too! See you out there!
