Venice Snapper Trip

Left Sunday morning at 2 a.m. for Venice. Left Venice marina for 6:30 and headed out for some snapper. Hooked up all day but couldn't get them suckas away from the rigs. Lost all my weights to the rigs. Managed to finish out limit chumming and free lining. This was my first trip to venice and I absolutely fell in love with the place. I never thought in louisiana you could go 10 miles from the coast and be in 120 ft of water. I saw a 16ft flat bottom out there catching snapper.

Good catch man! Those dang red snapper are addictive! Can't wait to get back out there next season!

Thanks. That was my first time fishing snapper in my own boat. I've been in other boats with friends but it's just better when you can do it in your own boat. And YES... It's addictive. Can't wait myself for next year.

Yep. except I took south pass all the way down. I appreciate the help. Maybe next season we can hook up and follow each other.

for sho! im going to the place in florida for a few days this weekend but after that im down we can smash the mangroves
