Default Big trout on big lake

Weren't able to get to the lake early today. Allstar rod let his maintainence schedule slide and one of the bolts on his steering came off. Thank god it was right next to the landing. We limped back to the landing and had to wait for stiens to open at 8 am to get the necessary bolt. Got on the water at 9 am. Ended up all the pirates had run the birds off in turners so we hit the reefs. Had quality fish and one + 7 lbs. On catch 2000. My personal best on big lake. Hope i can catch her again in march.

good looking fish man.. i fished a catch 2000 for the first time my last trip to big lake and caught a 4lber, not huge but it was the first fish i've ever caught on one. That bait is going to be tied on for a long time i think

don't let allstar rod fool u. just because he has a new ride doesn't mean he should let his maintinance check list slide. i can assure you he will have a pair of 5/8" wrenches and multiple bolts of that size in his boat on his next run. hopefully by then he will learn how to catch fish.

Just a little tip....use a small drop of blue locktite on those steering nuts to prevent that from happening.
