Default braid to floro strongest thinnest knot

Looks like this will be perfect for micro guides.

I use this knot exclusively and it's great ! Just need to test it good first. Sometimes for whatever reason it doesn't grab. But I have used it on 15 lb pp to 15 lb seaguar flouro and broken the flour off at the lure until the leader was too short never having a problem. Also doesn't fray like a uni-uni.

Gene Jensen on YouTube also has a video showing how to tie it

I use it in 2 Rods with micro guides, no problems

I have also had quality control problems with the FG knot, but I'm blind in one eye and my close in depth perception not what it was, so the problem may be on my end.

One of the local TV show hosts, Capt. Charlie Thomason, recommended using a four turn uni-knot on both the braid and the leader. It makes a very slim knot and he claims it won't slip. I think he's using 30lb braid to 20lb leader.

Next time out, I'm going to give it a try, but I am using 10lb braid to 10lb leader and 14lb braid to 14lb leader so my results may vary.

Try the Red Phillips knot.
Trim the tag tight to the knot.
