Default Launch in Freshwater City

Evening guys, I was able to secure some time off this coming monday. I wanted to try for my first ever beach trip but with all the rain i'm not so certain. So my back up plan while down there is try and hit some offshore rigs.

Anyway, a friend took me through Rollover bayou a few years ago and we hit some rigs from there. That's seemed to be the long way around and you also have to wait till sunrise to launch from Rollover. After looking on Google Earth I see the route is about the same from Fresh Water city but I am not certain of any launches nearby. If anyone could help or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it

Also any tips for newbie to the beaches if weather calms?

Thanks!

There's a launch toward the end of 3147 with limited parking. Lately the rigs in Verm and SMI blocks have not been very hot for trout if that's what you're after.
The beach can be good at times, look for a day of North wind or a few days of extreme calm before going.
