Is it worth fishing vs driving to south end of big lake? We only have ever fished prien a few times.

Up to you how much gas u want to burn... slowesr day last couple weeks was a dozen trout, with limits a few times. Bite done by 9am. Lots of fish on topwater for first hr of daylight, then plastics tightlined and live pogey under a cork when it?s slow.

I?d be in a blind sat and sun. Gonna be tough in a yak. If you dead set on fishing, I would wade the ship channel down south, won?t have to fight the wind in a yak and the flounder should be on the move.
