Default 11/20 Hunt with HR&G

My son Matthew and I hunted with Kirk Stansel from Hackberry Rod and Gun this morning. We started the morning off with a nice breakfast at their lodge and then we were off to go shoot some ducks.

My son Matthew killed his first duck today, there were birds all over the place and Kirk did a great job of calling them in for us. We would have been finished at least an hour earlier if Matthew and I were better shooters but we had a great time.

After the hunt we went back to the lodge for a hot bowl of gumbo. I am afraid my son may be hooked on duck hunting. We had a great trip with Raymond for youth weekend in which he saw but missed allot of ducks and then our trip to today was also great.

I see why you guys all like duck hunting as much as you do.

Super cool Casey! He sure looks pumped. Seeing a kids face after he shoots a duck is something special!

Thanks guys, even though he had a small duck for his first duck we are goign ahead and getting it mounted. He carried it with him in the boat, he was very proud. Kirk had alot of patience with us today. I plan to go back and hunt with Boatdriver on Wednesday.

Anytime I plan a hunt I will let you guys know, you should all buy stock in the various shotgun shell companies. The way I shoot, these guys love me.
