Default Wed and Sat G/C Pics

Lease partner sent these pics from his Wed and Sat hunts. Plenty of birds holding in our area.

Ya Think
Wed they estimated there were anywhere from 10,000-20,000 birds on the lease. Water is coming up again so maybe we can get our gear out of the marsh this weekend. Going to have plenty of work down there this year for you to help with Jordan.

CORN
This lease has not been hunted in over 5 years and you rarely hear any shots from the surrounding marsh. We have only had it for one year and were told that it has traditionally held primarily mallards and teal. Guess we found a diamond in a Goats Azz.

you definitely found something...how'd you manage to get your hands on a lease that hasn't been hunted in that long. Well glad it worked out for ya'll. Ya'll hunting out of blinds or just in the grass. We haven't been in the blinds since the week before christmas. Grass has been the ticket, the birds are just moving around a lot.

We only have 532 acres Shawn but the adjoining lease is included in those estimates. Our neighbors are not and have not hunted any closer than a 1/2 mile from out border.

Nothing like those drake pintails. Also, nice bag overall. This second split when we have had good days, we have been covered with them. Seems like the teal are back with the warm weather now!

I swear to goodness I WILL duck hunt next year. The only feathers I cut were two specks. You guys make me jealous. There's a lease in Bell City I could get on, but I can't justify the $$$$$$$$$ to duck hunt when I work 7/7 and have a deer camp in north LA. We'll get this figured out. Nice bag of ducks you got there. I miss those days of wading through the marsh dragging a canoe out in Laccassine and shootin nothin but the greeheads. Ahhhhhh the memories.

Our birds had left when I took you out, they are BACK big time. Aerial survey was done last week and WLF counted 125,000 on Rockafeller.

Yes Chas, we are still hunting the grass, probably will put in 3 man fiberglass blinds this year and cut better ditches. Maybe by November we will have it setup for a more comfortable hunt.

R little, how for down are ya'll on the g.c hwy? We hunt south of the hwy but we sure don't see the mallards like yall do. Don't get me wrong we are still having a great season but mostly teal and a few grays and pintail in there.
