Default Big Lake 2-15-11 Reds Reds Reds!

Headed out bright and early with 2 of my podnas from highschool in search of some fish! Tried for trout for a little while but nothing so we packed up and tried the salt ditch and the cut to black lake and picked up a some rat reds, fishing was slow so we hauled arse to the weirs and it was on from there they had a blast as I did to cranking in one red after another had our "limit" quick and played catch and release for a while, but someone can't count lol we thought we had 15 in the box turned out it was only 14 oh well we still went home with plenty of fish to fry up! great day to be on the water!
Everything was caught on pearl gulp shrimp.

And supper

Glad you had a good day.

Me like to see those "Hush Puppies". I fixed some a couple of weeks ago along with some fresh Catfish.

Stay away from my honey hole......does anyone need the coordinates to the grand bayou weirs? The more people there, the less in the lake.

Yo Salt, would that be the first one headed south from Heberts?

P.S. Was the water pooring out? does it have to be coming out to catch them still ?

Yeh the water was rolling out and if it isn't rolling out you can always go through those weirs, we went through and explored a little bit only picked up 2 of size back there.
I don't think the water has to be pouring out to catch them they are thick in there
