Default Beach Beatdown

My brother called me and said he and his girlfriend were going to be camping out on the beach for the weekend so I went out and met them. My other brother and dad showed up Friday afternoon and we commenced to catching fish. Despite the fact that there were 2000 boats on the beach we all managed a limit on both Friday and Saturday but the bite died down by Sunday. I fished by myself Monday and found a few early but not much after that. By the time I headed back in the water was getting murky. Ran to the south end of BL and managed 3 fish all over 5 lbs but couldn't get into any numbers. All in all it was a great weekend spent with my dad and brothers. Most of the fish were caught on plastics. Limetruse tsunamis and Downsouth Kicken Chicken's did most of the damage. My dad is a live bait fisherman and caught on both live shrimp and live mullet. There was so much bait in the water after about 9 am it was pretty impossible to compete with it. Never seen so much pogie in my life.

Good weekend. Yep, those pogies on Saturday were amazing. Never seen so many pogies. Never seen so many boats.

Marty and I went out last week and slammed them but I haven't been back since. The water was not too bad once you got 10 miles out the pass. If I spot a break in this weather I will make a run. When you getting back?
