My neighbors already think we are very weird and you didn't help out. I'm sitting in the backyard watching the chicks I just stuck in the pen. When I read this I busted out laughing. In a week two you can have all the roosters you want.

Make yourself a water out of PVC pipe. Them cute little chickens will be crapping in there water in no time. You can get them online at QC Supply.

These are the ones I'm talking about..... http://www.qcsupply.com/420011-push-...le-nipple.html All together its about $20-25 in materials but well worth it. I think for chickens the nipples should be 12-18" off the ground. The chickens learn pretty quickly to drink from it.

I have the nipples under a 5 gal bucket. Best thing I ever bought for the chickens!! All you have to do is keep water in the bucket. No more cleaning poop off everything!!

The bigger pipe is on the outside. The smaller pipe goes into the coop. I use an old baking pan for a feeder pan. Fill it once in the AM

I have a feeder that I hang. The bottom of the feeder is a few inches below the head of the chicken. That way they don't scratch and throw all the feed every where. Saves on the feed bill.
