Default Chickens

Anyone raise chickens? I'm thinking about building a coop and was looking for suggestions/pics of coops. It would be nice to have fresh eggs every morning.

Thanks.

Just don't put your nesting boxes any higher than you can see in them, have had them over head height & reached in & grabbed a snake. Not cool They stay eye level now.

I made a motorized chicken plucker follown some on line plans, cleaned 68 chickens in about two hours, they were plucked slicker than a whistle. Check out you tube and look for Whiz bang plucker. Some day I will raise more chickens, I stongly recommend concrete floor and strong material for the side walls to keep the racoons out, racoons like to just kill the chickens.

Steel flashing works good cus a coon can fit a chicken threw 1/1 box wire at ground level.

Could not train mine to sleep away from da wire an would wake to find cheese grated chicken........can't sell dat.

When I was little, my papa had a chicken coop. It was made out of chicken wire and 2 x 4s. He even attached a dolly to it so it could be moved. Pretty neat.
