Back at the pool for daybreak. little short bridge u have to go under was blocked by a whole cane roll with its roots. me I'm thinking ill just power Suziki over it until motor comes up then jump to front and use trolling motor the rest. Well the ole Suziki did not come up!! it would not come up! I have to fix that before I go back I fought that crap for 45 minutes before I finally got off it. made it to where I fished Tuesday around 745. cloudy blowing 20 mph plus out of north north east and nothing hitting my shiners at all. move to where I caught the catfish and notta! I'm thinking this is gonna be a humbling trip, weather sucks my shiners almost all dead. wont be getting them there again! but turns out them shiners dying best thing could of happened. I finally have confidence again throwing plastic for bass after almost 15 years. caught 25-30 easily. lots of small fish but steady action. sun came out wind died down to0 about 10 mph around noon and they were busting minnows in the grass and and lilly pads like crazy for over two hours. once I ran out of salty super flukes I ran back to catfish hole to have lunch and kept getting interrupted with nice catfish. kept 3 cATS, 10 BASS, and 5 big goggle eye all on plastic except catfish of course caught on worms. 2nd trip was even better, I'm hooked!! lol

Buddy of mine met me out there not long after I got off the cane roll, almost like he knew I was working my butt off lol. Anyway he kept caught and kept 7 fish, with largest 4 pound. While I was playing with shiners he was catching big fish on fluke paddle tails like I should of been. I tried to catch a big one and actually lost a couple but those don't count. Had a couple swamp donkeys and landed one about 3-4 pounds had me excited though. Anyway here is his fish.
