Default Rock and Roll 2-8-17

Rock & Roll = Rockefeller/Rollover ..SW Coastal La.
Caught some Reds, missed some Specs by a week. Haven't caught a Spec in 2017 yet in this area.
Key: find some clean/clearish water, with tidal movement.
Primarily caught with live bait and touts. Released the Bull.

Not boasting, but some Fishing info from Fresh Water City --> Grand Chenier area. Most boats are crabbing.

My dad, mom and aunt went thursday out of rollover, caught their limit of crabs, didnt try for reds, told him he should have. Crabs were mixed in size but mostly medium to large, all were full.

We were at Joseph's Harbor on Wednesday. Slow, slow and plenty small ones.

2-18-2017 Update

Most experienced fisherman are catching Reds at the Rock. Fish the Rocks along the channels. Spec's still few and far between. Crabs good with moving water.

Didn't LDWF close crab season until May? or is it just for commercial fishermen?

Closed for commercial fishermen and recriational TRAPS. Drop nets and handlines still ok (but don't tell too many people, you can avoid the crowds)
