Cheers Redfish Slam

Brad Schaeffer and family joined me on the Big Bluewave today. With the temperature warming up, we expected the reds to get real active. The morning started out slow with water temps reading 42 degrees. We picked off a couple throwback reds that looked extremely lethargic and full of sores and leaches. After a couple hours with nothing happening it was time to move on. We found a nice cut in the marsh with the water draining out and found a pot of gold!!! Redfish everycast, as they were stacked like sardines. We caught everything on bait shrimp on a jig head. The action was so fast I didn't even try plastic. It took about 30 minutes to ice down our limit. All of these reds were active and put up a good fight. What a fun time watching everyone reel in reds, thanks again.

Big thanks to Capt Lonnie Barr for running the second boat and limiting out also with his crew. Plenty memories made today on the boats.
