Default M or ML for topwater

Interested in a Duce rod for mostly topwater. I can pick up a ML today at Pack&Paddle or go to Railside for a Medium. Any opinions welcomed, its hard being an office fisherman.

Try using a medium before making your choice. I was sold when I got my ML for plastic. Would not use anything else for plastic. Know when I uesd it for TWand sub surface I decided to purchase The medium weight model and was completely satisfied .Try one if u can before u make your choice.

Thanks for the help guys, made the trip to Railside in Broussard and picked up a 6'8" M. The Duce feels really nice.

i had a tw rod built by someone...at the time i wanted a 6'6" med/heavy with a short grip so it didnt get in the way . i loved it but i noticed i was pulling the plug to often and realized it was because of the stout rod. so now i use a 7' light ( same as my jig rod) , you can cast plugs a mile, they load up when you get a blow up so no need to set hook ect. plus its funn as crap fighting a fish on a light rod . only thing is if its really windy sometime because the rod is so flimsy when workimg a [plug with braid it will wrap arounfd the rod tip but not often enough to change rods

ML with a fast/x-fast works, but a M with a fast/x-fast works better. The ML can be a good all around rod though.
