Default Light rod and reels

Don't want to derail the other thread so I started one.

What is the deal with having the lightest rod and reel out there? Not hating/complaining that is why I sale some of my customs. More of a curiosity.

I get W's comment and I agree. Is there other reasons???

You wouldn't see a marathon runner running with steel toe boots, lol. It has everything to do with what W said. Once I started fishing with a Curado 50e, I didn't want to touch the 200e. Your truck gets better gas mileage when driving to the launch with lighter rod and reels too, lol.
