Default Got my NuCanoe

Finally went and got my yak. The frontier 12 from pack n paddle in laffy. I'll post some pics when I get it camoed out.

Talk about stable. I can do soo many things I wouldt dare do in another yack. I'm a big ole boy and I was walking front to back, sitting on one side hanging my legs out while pulling my 80lb lab in the boat. Incredible. I can rock it side to side and fill it with water and it just keeps truckin. A boat that wide you'd think would be a pain to paddle but it ain't.

Can't wait to bust some wood ducks floating the river this fall.

If I could afford a second yak I would have one of them with a TM to hunt from.... would be good to go up in the woods or carry on 4wheeler to cross lakes..... good luck and can't wait for pics

Bass. It is legal as long as it is not being motored. I don't think you can use a trolling motor. But be careful squirrels usually sink in the water

You can't use a trolling motor. Got a ticket for that about 10 years ago.
I hunt out of a pirogue all the time and do Gerry well with the tree rats

I hunt squirrels out of my boat all the time with a trolling motor. Have been checked while hunting and no problems.

I used to squirrell hunt all the time trolling down Indian bayou. It's legal as long as you let your boat come to a stop before shooting. That's straight from a GW mouth. I don't go to Indian bayou no more though, it's way to developed now

I hunted squirrels out of a a little 12' aluminum hull with a TM along the Intracoastal in Houma. The do sink pretty quick. There are quite a few oaks along the ICW that hold them too.

My father in law has some in his oak tree that he wants gone, I'll get them in a few months.

Im not an experienced yaker, ive only been in a few different yaks. Pelican, ocean something, and a hobie. The NuCanoe tracks well, on about the 3rd stroke I'm cruising. When I demoed it with pack-n-paddle I had me (300lbs) and my GF (140lbs) and it hauled with just me paddling. When she started paddling it really cruised. Didn't take much effort at all.

I don't mind busting my hump with a paddle as long the yack is as stable as this bad boy. I'm gonna have a 45 mini Kota on it to go long distances anyway, haha
