Default Scare for the day

Was at the flea market across from our shop today checking out an old coffee table the wife spotted. Whilr looking at it I hear people yelling stop so I turn and look. They are running in my direction so I look around and see a little guy about 5 sprinting like a pro running back. He was sprinting towards a road. I broke and ran. Halfway to him I see a car coming. Thankfully the driver was paying attention and was on the brakes hard. I scooped him up in the road and he is home safe with mom and dad. Had that lady been playing with her phone he or we may have both been hit. A text can wait a few minutes and parents be mindful of how fast a little one can vanish. No one is perfect at driving or parenting. We just gotta do the best we can. I just tank God that little guy is safe and his parents or the lady in that car don't have to deal with what could have happened.

Words of truth right there. I feel I keep a good eye on my kids, but one blink and my 3 year old is off like Usain Bolt and I'm far behind like a middle aged dad with a desk job and a 6 pack a night habit.

The hero of this story is the lady driving the car. So very thankfull she was paying attention. I wish I would have been in not such an oh crap moment that I would have thanked her. To whoever you are thank you and God Bless.

Bud i'm blessed everyday. Life ain't always easy but it's always wonderful and blessed. It's all part of a bogger plan than I have control over. Whether it's just shooting the breeze with you guys or maybe getting hit by a car(which by the way was only going 25 or so) to help a young man and his parents. It's left up to the man up above. Even if I had got hit and killed(not likely) what greater good is there than to give yourself for another? Especially when it's an innocent child.

Awesome, glad you were quick on you feet, even better for the person who was not distracted by phone.
I can elaborate on some many accidents involving phones it is pathetic.
