Headknocker Saltwater experience...always a letdown

How do you maintain a fishing show when you only catch 1 fish in a 30 minute segment. I have been tuning in the last few weeks trying to get some tips, but every week I'm let down. These dudes spend more time talking about the trip, the weather, their gear, and anything else except catching. How the heck do you have a fishing show with very little fishing let alone fish catching. I literally just watched a 30 minute show. 1 fish was caught and released at the boat and they hooked another that cut em off in the structure never saw any part of that fish. Heck he could've been fighting by the anchor for all we know

Must be nice being a fishing AND and a television expert. The fact that you're budgeting, weather and logistical expert as well is amazing.

? I'm not claiming to be an expert. Not even a little. That's why I continue to watch, hoping that I can get any tips that may help me learn more. Yet an absolute beginner as myself is getting nothing from the show says a lot about the quality because I should be able to learn tons, but I'm not. I mean maybe if I didn't know what a boat was or what a fishing pole looked like, then I would learn something. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I just felt like a fishing show should either catch fish or at least give some good tips. But I guess I was wrong

And I try to get the MOST from the guide who are earning their share, especially in LA.
They know their areas and that would give you a lot of info about time of the year, place, salinity, etc.... if you ask

On the flip side, i hate shows that only show them cranking in fish. The don't mention anything about why and what they are doing.

He's probably the best I've seen on tv who gives the when, where, how, and most importantly, WHY! He just doesn't change it up much and fishes the same areas over and over. But it still gives you insight on how to fish in general.

He is like the rest, saw him out fishing several times filming and he has the person with a fish real it in, let it back out and have another person in the boat reel it back in!
