Default 1-1-15 New Year's Ducks

Well yesterday was cold and bluebird today was grey and rainy and the ducks cooperated anyway,we shot a variety and even got a bonus pintail,a duck that we hardly ever kill in my blind.I'm watching the weather and hope the heavy rains don't come so we can get back at them tomorrow, still a lack of teal but the Mallards,Greys and woodies are making up for them.Good luck and happy New Year!!!

What seems to be the reason for your constant success? Good spot, rice in their craw, no pressure? I hunt a lake near my home where we used to do fairly well. Since my dad and some neighbors gave up rice farming, no ducks at he lake anymore. The ducks were always chock-a-block with rice, nice and fat. My last three hunts were 0,0,0,. Absolutely no flight. Yesterday shoulda been a stellar day; bright, cool, sunny and windy day.

It's not just the ducks, it's the fishing too. And it's not just the sacalait, it's the specks too! The man is a beast when it comes to fins or feathers. Nice job Big C. AGAIN!!

First I'm in a primetime flyway which is near whitevile, second a very good blind which I have been hunting for 28 years and surrounded by rice.We have food water and it's rivate property vs a reserve.
