Default Foggy fishing fun 12/13/2009

Temp. 58, FOGGY FOGGY FOGGY, Water temp. 53, humidity 100%, winds 0 to 5 mph. Visibility about 18 inches.

Hit another one of Speckdaddy's spots today. Caught 6 total. 5 between 2 lbs. and 3 lbs. and 1 just barely 13 inches.
I cleaned 3 before remembering I got a new small camera in my pocket. I will post the pictures as soon as I figure out how to download to the computer.

I ran into Mikethetiger and Josh. They were doing pretty good until around 9:30. That's when it slowed down for me too. I lost around 5 fish. 1 was huge.
I did catch a few trash fish on the lure I was using today. Didn't know they would hit on a flashy artificial lure.

Default Foggy

Yeah the Fog was really bad this morning. I also found that the bite was a-lot better earlier in the morning. I couldn't really fish where I wanted to. I know the lake well and I have a good GPS, but I'm still not comfortable running the lake in that bad of a fog.

I had a Blackjack came up on me, on plane, hauling butt. He stopped just a few yards from me and moved North, under power. He already screwed up my fishing area, then he kept on putt putting till he got to where he wanted to fish.

I also saw a very nice looking camo wrapped boat. He came in like he was supposed to, with a trolling motor.

I am having trouble uploading pictures. They are .jpg but SC says they are not a valid format. I'm confused.

Know what you mean Ray, hair on the back of my neck was straight most of the morning every time I heard a motor running. Ended up with 18 for the day all in Turners because I was not going south in the fog. I also lost a couple of nice ones.

There were a lot of boats running early, with no lights.
I kept my white anchor light on at all times. Just in case.
And I didn't run fast at all.

I chunked it back. I was in the mood for some easy cleaning fish.
I caught several today. I found it odd that so many were hitting
artificial lures.

I saw a 22' Nautic Star from Lafayette that had 2 limits of nice Reds. They was
cleaning them at Calcasieu Point at the same time I was cleaning my trout. He
said they caught them at the weirs. He said that was his secret spot.

I fished within a couple miles of the landing, until the fog started lifting. I didn't
want to run all over the place when it was hard to see.

The fog didn't lift for us...........well, around noon it started thinning out enough to run to west cove.......But i wouldn't say it "lifted". On the way in it was just as foggy as morning time...........
