If you want good fishing, pretty scenery and possibly a place to bring the family the Amistad. Fished there a few yrs back and its beautiful with clear water, huge rock cliffs, house boats to rent and awsome fishing; would be a awsome trip anytime of yr.

I would say for freshwater the amazon for peacock bass

for saltwater big lake running around drinking beer and potlicking w.
