Default Venice day 3

Decided to say screw trout all together and run offshore instead. Made the 24 mile run down river with bob (meauxfishin ) and my girlfriend kori hit open water and found flat seas . Bob and kori Started puttin small red snapper in the boat left and right while I started slangin mangroves ( my new nickname is mangrove daddy, I even made a "mangrove daddy" dance lol) . Made a run n found some bigger 10 lb snapper but the current was rippin to fast to catch mangroves . Put 3 nice red snapper in the boat here but it shut off so we keep hoppin around . I stayed on the mangroves n kori / bob stayed on the reds. Bob caught 4 lol and kori caught 15 lol!!! Sorry bob I had to :P I'm obsessed with mangrove now that first run is killer on light tackle . Here's some pics of today's trip n one of me playing with the wash down hose lol! The mangrove I'm holding was just shy of #3 on the STAR leader board! Weighed it in at cypress cove but it didn't make the cut

What Pox left out from the reports was on Friday he couldn't handle the snappers in 180' but I got a small one up from thereImageUploadedByTapatalk1309838494.393665.jpg
I also caught a couple of groupers ( gag & scamp) that were undersized, and a personal best for me on croaker :lmao: right under 3 lbs ImageUploadedByTapatalk1309838631.911171.jpg
And while Kori might have caught more snapper than me on Sunday. I'm pretty sure he didn't get a legal red snapper in the boat the whole weekend...
