Default Marsh fishing in comparison to bass fishing

Just had a quick question for tomorrow. I was wondering if certain lures are better used at certain times of day? In bass fishing top water is good for early morning where soft plastics are normally better as it gets hotter. I was just wondering if marsh fishing was similar and if not any tips would be helpful. Would like to make the first trip somewhat successful.

top water when its smooth, if the reds are finning, which they should be, hit them on the nose with the gold spoon.

Ive had success recently with a white spinner bait when the reds are being a little less aggressive. or you see lots of bait running but not being hit

I find the two types of fishing to be quite similar. In the morning the fish tend to be more aggressive and will haul a$$ to get to your lure. As the day goes on try slowing down your retrieve. Throughly fish each area as you might get a bite by casting from a different angle. Spinnerbaits are always good for redfish. I use the H&H or the Strike King Redfish Magic.
