Podna of mines dad had a 19 footer....rode very nice in the chop and was dry.Problem was the transom had to be replaced and several stress cracks on the helm. Boat was only a few years old at the time. Not sure how long it held up he sold it.

I've owned 2 of the 23' bay boats in the last 5 years. I actually thought both of them had great layouts, fished good, and actually rode great. I had 0 problems with getting wet. Some things were cheapened on the finish, but I wouldn't have a problem buying another one. You hear a lot of bad, if you look there are a lot of owners who are very happy also.

I have an 18.5 footer. Ran outside the bay Saturday and got soaked but I am sure anyone running a boat less than 20 feet in the chop I was in would have gotten wet as well.
Last year my uncle hit a log in the bayou and cracked the transom. Went ahead and spent some money adding some aluminum reinforcement to the transom and I think it is solid. I like the boat allot but I would only buy another Fishmaster if it was over 22 feet and then I would check the boat very well for stress fractures like someone mentioned earlier. |

Fished in a 21' Fishmaster for years. Did not have a lot to compare it to because I have not fished out of a bunch of different boats. I have been in some waves and felt like the boat performed according to its price range. Been offshore with it on good days. It fishes great that's the best thing about it. The fish ice chest in front is not very insulated but it will last the day with enough ice and has plenty room. The bimini is great in the summer with family. The floor storage for rods is a joke. Whoever thought that out was on crack. The bigger boat you are looking at might be much better. All in all a good boat for the money you pay.

always heard they were wet, never rode in one though. I wouldn't have a problem owning one, they are better than nothing.

where is that boat located? can't be many with a 225 zuke. i could swear i've seen it listed either before or for a while now. i would think the market value on that boat should be around $12-13K if it is in great shape.

i own a 19ft,and its a dry ,smooth ride, fishing is great with the layout, and i think anyone in the bay saturday with a straight east wind got wet..lol.. although a 23 ft would be uch nicer becaues of the size..

Never owned one, but, when I started saltwater fishing a buddy bought the big one. Looking back, it rode good, IMO, but there were alot of wiring issues and such to begin with. He had the EFI Evinrude and there were alot more problems with that motor than the boat. For the right price....I'd have no problem buyin' one 'cause I think they are a decent bang for the buck.

my dad has the same boat and it seem to be a dry ride. the motor has alot of power and is easy on gas. i personally would not be scared to pull the plug on that boat.

I own that identical boat, very pleased with it. The ride is as wet or dry as you want it to be. Very solid in my opinion

The first thing you see when researching Fishmaster is they are wet boats and low quality. However, I have a 23 ft w a 200 merc, and it rides good. That being said, when waves are coming parallel to the boat you will get a little wet. My simple opinion, a little wet isn't to bad for the $. In the end, it fishes great with lots of room
