Bob's or atlas seem to be the preferred ones.

I had a Bob"s for over 10 years. It gave great service, never failed, BUT, it was stupid heavy for an aluminum hull. I switched to an Atlas Micro Jacker at 24 pounds, works like a charm. I think the Bob's was around 50 pounds with the pump, the Atlas is 24 pounds total.

Had atlas on my last boat, worked great. New one came with a sea star, works great and no issues yet

I can tell you one thing, it is the cat's meow in the marsh. I don't know why I didn't have that 40 years ago. Seems the new 4 strokes work extremely well with the lift plates. The plate seems to help get the most out of the motors. I've never had one on a 2 stroke so I don't know if it does the same for them. I'll never be without one on my boat.

I'm guessing that a "lift plate" is just another way of saying jack plate?!? I already have a manual jack plate on my boat, but to move it is a pain in the butt. And no real way to adjust it while on the water. I would drop the tools in the drink if I even tried it. Lol
