Default pre-made carolina rigs

just thought I'd share something that works well for me. I rig em all up and use half an earplug on the hooks so they don't get tangled. Saves time for rigging in the boat and saves a lot of tacklebox space by stuffing them in the lil zip bag. Works like a charm.

I do that also but don't use the ear plug. I wrap them around a swim noodle and hook it into the noodle. I can get over a dozen on a 1 foot piece of noodle. Saves lots of time on the water.

saying the word recipe followed by shrimp... and then not including the recipe... is IMO a cardinal sin.....

Glad they came out good.
I have not seen a post for the trip this year. Is it going to happen?

Meaux started a thread in the events section. Not a bunch of replies tho. I can't commit 100% yet, but I'll Prolly roll. We need a couple bigger boats to roll this year or maybe charter something. I'm still scared from my night at sea!

They are homemade..4/0 octopus hook from bass pro, 30lb mono leader, #7eagle claw barrel swivel. Not much cheaper than store bought, but I absolutely love those hooks

How long do you make your leader? i like 'em about 24"-30", a little longer than most of the store bought ones.
