Tried it a while. Didn't find it much better than power pro so I'm back on that. Just my experience though.

Thanks , I tried the power pro and actually used the spider wire for years but it seems not to be the same now. I really like original stren but it has so much stretch with my wrist problems I could really use a good braid for less movement in hook setting and cork popping.

I've used 30# power pro for 8-10 years now. Every now an again when I fish with my oldest son I'll grab one of his rods with mono. Feels like I'm having to jerk for a mile to set the hook lol. I'm spoiled to the short solid hook sets with power pro

Wind Tamer is all I use on my reels. Great line and works as advertised.

Maybe its just me but I fished for years with spider wire and started fishing where barnicles was tearing it up so went back to mono and now would like to go back to braid but spider wire aint the same and power pro seems to backlash a lot. I saw this wind tamer and figure i'd give it a shot.

I found that it's better to go 30 on the slick spectra fiber lines for casting.
On the original power pro 20 is plenty.
I don't use over 10# on spinning reels and rarely break off and can cast really far.

All I use braid wise have zero complaints other than it can tie a knot on end of your rod you will never understand how it was made

i like wind tamer, but like power pro better. not that it's a better product, just that i'm more comfortable with it. if someone gave me a bunch of it(wind tamer) i would put it on all my reels.

I just prefer braid period. Much stronger. Ive gotten snagged on oyster reefs with a lead head jig and snapped the hook before the line broke. Sometimes that a bad thing.

I have been using Windtamer 30# exclusively for 3 or 4 years. I find it is easier to tie knots than the other brands. It has worked successfully on everything from trout to bull reds and jacks.

Well I been trying the wind tamer in 30# and I find it better than the power pro or spider wire.... I got a spool of the suffix 832 with a gore fiber woven in whatever that is...Used it a lil yesterday so really can't say yet...Caught a couple reds with it and they say they don't care for it...
