Default Chasing that Neon Rainbow_7/14/12

I met up with Capt. Hebert and gang for a heck of a day on Trinity Bay. We were greeted with several rainbows as there were storms all around and it just so happened that instead of a pot a gold we were rewarded with some piggy trout. It turned out to be a great day on the water as we never got wet, the temps were fantastic, we caught some great TX trout, and we ate some dang good TX BBQ while on the water.

All fish were caught on Tidal Surge Split Tails in Limetreuse and Plum/Chartreuse, using YM 1/4oz Red Devil Jig Heads. The fishing was so good I even managed to catch a nice trout without a rod or reel...

Can't wait to do it again!

P.S. Salty, I took a few steps back for the table shot this time, just for you!

So nice. I wanted to hit Trinity in the AM, but something came up.

This was the first time I have heard of eating BBQ on the water.

"Back 50 feet".

Nice trip, Micah. I'm shippin' them baits Monday, so, you'll need to go with somebody besides Capt. Hebert. He ain't gonna let ya throw 'em. Maybe if I stick "Tidal Surge" on one he'll let ya.

Again, nice fish.

Capt. Hebert's friend brought a huge bag of homemade pork ribs for snack food on the trip that were fantastic. BBQ and trout slime actually make a fun combination!

If its pork ribs, that would be "Far West LA" BBQ. Texans don't BBQ pork ribs. I was told that from some a-hole Tea Sipper some years ago.

I say fine. More for me.
